The 2008 economic crisis devastated the recruiting industry. Jackson Stevens led the first and only research of its kind to document the evolution of hiring practices and the effects they had on placement. We investigated every stage of the C-Suite placement continuum (salary levels between ~$200K and $2M). We focused on 5 stages: Approach, Resume, Interview, Negotiation, and Placement.

We discovered and trademarked “The 7 Dimensions of Executive Placement, a roadmap to increasing placement success rates.” This 7-Dimensional construct ranks and prioritizes information about candidates (from the resume presentation to the offer stage), measuring each element’s unique contribution to placement.

We’ve continued to identify new dimensions for the past 15 years, working side by side with our executive search partners, and we have incorporated them into the resume, interview, and negotiation processes. The new dimensions have generated exponential growth and increased placement success rates with dramatic improvements in the velocity of placement, salary, and responsibility levels offered, while abating age, background, and education discrimination.

Until 2018, these marketability-enhancing services were only available through a referral by an established executive search firm. That same year, we launched our Transition Services Practice, which was made exclusively available to employers that are releasing a top executive. In 2019, due to increased demand, we made them available to select, highly accomplished and performance-proven individual executives in the C-Suite, and signed up for Trust Pilot. Since that time, we have seen a Net Promoter Score of 98, with more than ~400 5-star recommendations on LinkedIn & TrustPilot.

RESULTS

We never suggest a candidate at the $250k to $3M level “network” to find a job. As you see from our references, by marketing the transitioning candidate using our strategies, we facilitate tens of thousands of individual introductions to executive search professionals that recruit above $250k, and private equity board members who look for operating partners with salaries at the same levels. As a direct result of our efforts, our transitioning candidates received between 200 and 3,000 validated responses (averaging 438 per candidate), each landing dozens of interviews for jobs carrying salaries between $250k and $2M, despite the ravages of COVID-19, the economy, the supply chain crisis, and the war in Ukraine. Our services range from resume, interview, and negotiation tactics offered ala carte to a full concierge level, where we conduct the entire job hunt on behalf of the candidate. Concierge-level candidates answer questions, approve documents, and go on interviews.
